### Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Telemetry
**Job Description:**
- Be a vital part of patient care as a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry Observation Unit.
- Utilize your skills to evaluate patients and assist physicians effectively.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to meet patient needs.
- Identify patient requirements and prioritize care through thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for your assigned patients through both initial and ongoing assessments.
- Initiate assessments based on patients’ issues, physicians’ medical diagnoses, and the functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions that make a real difference in patient health.
- Manage comprehensive care for patients, ensuring they receive the utmost attention and support.
- Document nursing care in alignment with industry standards, focusing on patient acuity and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and encourage the adoption of innovative care delivery methods.
- Provide patient-centric care that aligns with a professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required.
**Required Hard Skills:**
- Expertise in Telemetry
- Proficiency in managing non-titratable drips
- Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms
**Education:**
- Required: ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: BSN, Telemetry Certification, or Telemetry Competency Exam.
**Required Certifications & Licensure:**
- BLS - AHA
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- NIHSS
- Telemetry Certification
- CEU Contact for Stroke - 4 Hours
**Required Licenses & Certifications:**
- Telemetry, NIHSS, ACLS
**Languages:**
- English: Read, Write, Speak
**Schedule Notes:**
- Job Title: Registered Nurse / Telemetry Observation Unit
- Shift:
- 2 Day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- 2 Night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May be required to float to other inpatient telemetry units
