The nurse will be expected to float between units as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Expected patient ratios are 1:5. Candidates must have experience with the NIH stroke scale and be proficient in managing neurologic diagnoses. This is a designated stroke unit that is thrombectomy capable. The facility has a JCAHO designation as a Spine Center of Excellence and as a Level 3 Epilepsy Center. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Providers will be responsible for submitting any work-related cell phone bills. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless for an agreed-upon interview. References are required covering a year of experience within the last three years. Previous charge experience is preferred. The charting system used is Epic. This position involves caring for neuroscience patients with various diagnoses and procedures.
