• Setting: General med-surg / telemetry unit with a supportive, team-oriented environment
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs, including two major holidays
• Floating: May occasionally float to acute care or overflow/surge areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit priorities
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and select holidays
• Willingness to complete orientation and onboarding requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry and med-surg patients in a busy acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and carry out patient care plans
• Assess, document, and communicate patient status accurately and in a timely manner
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Support safe patient flow and assist with floating assignments when needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while delivering high-quality nursing care
