Manager will not accept RTO during fall/winter holiday weeks.
Description:
This position is for a Telemetry RN working nights.
36 or 48 hours accepted per week.
The ratio is 1:5, up to 6 with lower acuity.
The patient age range includes adults and geriatrics.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume Telemetry unit managing multiple and complex diagnoses.
In cases of low census, Tele staff may float to other care areas of equal or lesser acuity.
The electronic medical record and charting system used is Epic.
Royal blue scrubs are required.
Every other weekend is required, along with holiday coverage as scheduled.
Floating to lower acuity units and sister facilities may be required.
No pre-scheduled on-call shifts are required, but shift times may be adjusted as needed.
This unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Common patient diagnoses include cardiac dysrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and stroke.
Candidates must have experience with managing cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, and interpret dysrhythmias.
Skills required include managing IVs, tracheostomy care, wound care, and administering oxygen.
The ideal candidate is comfortable floating within their scope of practice.
