Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio or compact state coverage
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to interpret telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
• Experience with acute care, telemetry nursing, or stepdown nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to adapt in a high-acuity, fast-moving healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions in a telemetry/stepdown setting
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and document findings in the electronic health record
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patient and family education throughout the plan of care
• Manage common therapies including Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin drips as assigned
• Care for patients requiring oxygen support such as trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate clinical documentation
• Deliver compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic unit
