Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona.
*****THIS IS A TELE POSITION, REQUIRING TELE SKILLS - PLEASE READ BELOW*****.
Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
**Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).
**There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.).
# of beds CRMC 60 ED Beds, MGMC 31 ED Beds.
Ratios 1 to 4.
Required certifications BLS, ACLS.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele.
Experience.
MUST HAVE a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters.
Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.
(MS/Tele travlers DO NOT need prior travel experience.
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor ED charge nurse.
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios ED PCTs available.
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) No Vents.
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips.
No monitor tech in the ED.
Shifts & Scheduling 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a) Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
Weekend Requirement 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
Holiday Requirement Rotate in with the perm staff.
Is there a call or standby requirement? No call required.
Floating Requirements Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.
Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy.
Unit/Department specific orientation 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus.
Additional Notes Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.
Additional Questions May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medicaton administration.
Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
