Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,983 per week in Augusta, GA

Schedule: 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35 patients. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5. Every other weekend required. Holiday coverage as assigned based on contract length. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed.

Highlights:

• Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and medical patients including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, post-device implants, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and vascular conditions
• Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication essential
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin
• Non-critical care PCU/Telemetry setting with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Local candidates accepted; first-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of experience
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off available; blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4-12)

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; experience with 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratios
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management (no titration), dysrhythmia interpretation, central line care, blood product administration, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and wound care/wound vac management
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; orientation scheduled bi-weekly
