First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Description: The ideal candidate will manage patients with post-myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease. Experience with peritoneal dialysis, telemetry, EKG, and Doppler is necessary. Candidate must have knowledge and skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, and monitoring of dysrhythmias. Familiarity with IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (non-titration), and various procedures such as post-cardiac angiogram and post-cardiac surgery is essential. The position requires the ability to start and maintain IVs, provide wound care, and manage tracheostomy care. Nurse-to-patient ratio will be 1:5 in a unit with an average daily census of 16. Floating to other units within the facility may be required as needed. Full compliance is necessary prior to starting. If assigned, the traveler is expected to work a major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to ensure timely start.
