Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry nursing - Strong critical thinking skills - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Ability to thrive in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. These units care for all cardiac needs, including post-operative care. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6. Supported by assistive personnel and a healthcare unit coordinator. Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor technicians are available to oversee telemetry patients. Requires flexibility to float to cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical departments as needed. Travelers will be required to work weekends and holidays if the department has a need.
