Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Cares for all cardiac needs, including post-operative care. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available. Involves working with a team supported by healthcare personnel. This unit serves a population of all ages.
