Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an experienced HVTI-Stepdown RN for winter coverage. The RN will provide care to patients in the HVTI-Stepdown unit.

The traveler may also be required to float to J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for patients with the same population.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent RN experience in the specialty applying for
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact RN license must be active and in hand at submission
• BLS – AHA or American Red Cross accepted
• ACLS – Active and in hand
• NIHSS – Active and in hand
• All certifications must be active and in hand; pending certifications are not accepted

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour shifts ONLY
• Rotating day/night schedule
• Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday
• Facility will make every effort to honor the preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate shifts based on operational needs

Auto Offer

This position is listed as AUTO OFFER, meaning qualified candidates may receive an offer based on their submitted profile without a traditional facility interview.

However, all RTO must still be disclosed at submission, and candidates must meet all Cleveland Clinic compliance requirements.

Submission Requirements

• Completed Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet
• All RTO disclosed at submission
• 1 reference required from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director
• Reference must be in the specialty applying for
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Coworker references will not be accepted
• Traveler can only be submitted for one Cleveland Clinic Health System position at a time
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• PBDS assessment is waived

Orientation Assessments

During orientation, the traveler must complete:

• ECG Rhythm Recognition Test
• SafeMedicate Assessment

An acceptable score is required on both assessments. Travelers have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass.

Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
• Background hits are reviewed by the facility
• No license hits accepted
• Candidates with an open background case are not accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract

Modules

• Pre-start and annual modules are required
• Average completion time: 6–15 hours
• Up to 4 hours are billable
• Additional pre-start module time is non-billable
• Modules are completed through Silkroad
