Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Surgical Stepdown- Provide post-operative care for bariatric reduction and urologic/nephrology surgeries
- Treat infectious processes requiring surgical intervention, such as cellulitis/abscesses or wounds/ulcers
- Manage patients with osteomyelitis, GI diseases (SBO, diverticulitis), and other surgical cases
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize Epic charting system for detailed and accurate patient documentation
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Surgical Stepdown- Active KS or Multistate RN license with unblemished record
- AHA BLS certification required at submission
- 1-year experience in progressive care/stepdown units
- Education: ADN or BSN
- Ability to float to other post-surgical and med-surg floors as required
