PCU / Stepdown RN

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week
Schedule: 4×12-hour shifts
EMR: Epic — required
Call: None specified
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and minimum every other holiday
Ratio: Target 1:4; may be 1:5–6
OT: 48-hour contracts pay OT after 48 hours

Job Details

• Intermediate Care / PCU / Stepdown setting
• 23-bed unit
• Patient population includes COPD, CHF, AKI/CRF, PND, GI bleed, CVA, DVT, cancer complications, overdose, etc.
• Stable chronic ventilator experience required
• Traveler is first to float within specialty clusters or nearby Premier facilities
• Level I/II trauma experience preferred

Requirements

• 1.5+ years experience; 2 years listed in qualifications
• Strong PCU/Stepdown/Tele experience
• Epic experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• EKG/tele competency assessment required
• Stable chronic ventilator experience
• Travel experience preferred
• IV start preferred
• Active state RN or Compact license
• No prior license disciplinary action
