Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Step-Down Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - **Location:** 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801 - **Floor:** 5th floor - **Building:** Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) - **Unit Highlights:** - **Number of Beds:** 40 - **Staff Structure:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Staff Bedside Nurses, 4 PCTs, 1 Unit Secretary - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Staff Bedside Nurses, 3 PCTs - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 - **Patient Demographics:** CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmias, Pulmonary Hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post-cardiac cath/stent, post-pacer/ICD/ablation - **Equipment Used:** Zoll monitor, Baxter pump, lift equipment, bladder scanner - **EMR System:** Cerner - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - **Must Have:** - Stepdown or progressive care experience - Telemetry experience - Proficiency in titratable cardiac IV medications (e.g., nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine) - **Preferred:** - Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) - Relief charge experience - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Bedside Cardioversion - **Personality Traits:** - Flexible - Positive attitude - Great team player - Compassionate and caring demeanor - **Required Certifications:** - BLS - ACLS - **Floating Areas:** - All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: All white or all navy blue, or white top and navy blue pants - **Additional Information:** - Weekends: Required every other weekend - Orientation: Unit policies and guidelines discussed during orientation **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
