**Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Step-Down Team!** **Position Description** **Unit Information: E5 CARD** - **Location:** Asheville, NC - **Floor:** 5th floor - **Building:** Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) **General Information** - **Number of Beds:** 40 - **Staffing:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 10 Bedside Nurses - 4 PCTs - 1 Unit Secretary - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 10 Bedside Nurses - 3 PCTs - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio - **Types of Patients:** - CHF, MI, CP, Arrhythmia - Pulmonary Hypertension, Valvular Disease, Endocarditis - DKA, Post Cardiac Cath/Stent, Post Pacer/ICD/Ablation - **Equipment Used:** - Zoll, Baxter Pump, Lift Equipment, Bladder Scanner - **EMR:** Cerner **Typical Hiring Profile** **Must Have:** - Stepdown or progressive care experience - Telemetry experience - Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications such as: - Nitroglycerine, Cardizem, Amiodarone - Dopamine, Dobutrex, Insulin Drip, Heparin, Bumex/Lasix **Preferred:** - Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) - Relief charge experience **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Bedside Cardioversion **Best Personality Fit:** - Flexible - Positive attitude - Great team player - Compassionate **Required Certifications:** - BLS - ACLS **Floating Area(s):** - All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: All white or all navy blue or white top and navy blue pants **Weekends & On Call:** - Every other weekend **Years Experience:** - 2 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
