PRN Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Short Stay for a travel nursing job in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

  • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Shift Requirements: 12hr Nights; Every other weekend; Holiday rotating
  • Holiday grouping: Schedule to come
  • Float Requirements: Candidate may float to sister  facility and other like units as needed.
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
  • Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: BLS, NIHSS WI or Compact license
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years MS experience required/CDU. At least 1 traveler contract completed preferred but willing to take a 1st time traveler - MUST BE ABLE TO READ TELE
  • Experience must be short term acute care hospital experience
  • Charting Experience Required: Current EPIC charting within last 12 months.
  • Unit information: 4E Med/Surg - Clinical Decision Unit; 15 beds, Level III, Primary Stroke Center
  • Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates, Strong Documentation skills, able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Patient Ratio: 1:5-6 nights; 1:4-5 Days
  • Patient Types: DM, CHF, DT, falls minimal injury, Stroke R/O, Chest pain, PNA, gen weakness
  • Primarily MS, Day Surgery patients, ER admits, prostatectomy, Lab Appy, Lap Chloe, CBI
  • Skillset:Tele interpretation, IV placement, CBI, wound care, heparin gtt, Lasix gtt, cardiology background preferred, caths no interventions, TR bands, NG tube placement. Time management (assessment heavy at times with post cath and stroke assessments)
