Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred License: Current state RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must have COVID vaccination and booster Description: This position involves providing nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting. The role requires the ability to float between different units as needed. You will be responsible for managing various patient diagnoses such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complexities that require intensive rehabilitation. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Patient care includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing assessments. You will engage in daily huddles to discuss patient care plans and participate in weekly team conferences for individualized care. The average daily census on the unit is around 15 patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. Specialized equipment for safe patient handling will be utilized, ensuring patient safety and comfort during care activities. A strong focus will be placed on helping patients achieve maximum independence in self-care and mobility. You are expected to have teaching experience preferably in a clinical environment. This role may require travel, and candidates should have prior travel experience within the last 12 months. All nursing positions require a BSN.
