Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub procedures in the Endovascular OR and Endovascular Lab, providing direct patient care for all age groups across the full perioperative experience
- Utilize the nursing process to perform thorough patient assessments and formulate, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative nursing care plans in collaboration with the surgical team
- Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy, aseptic technique, wound exposure, and hemostasis methods — including manual, instrumental, and chemical approaches — to support surgical procedures
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort throughout the perioperative phase
- Supervise personnel team actions to promote readiness and timeliness for surgical procedures; float to other OR units as needed
- Participate in weekend call coverage; on-call availability required 24 hours per day on weekends
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of Endovascular OR RNFA experience
- Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- Scrub experience in the OR setting preferred
- Familiarity with vascular patient populations including amputations, EVAR, TCAR, TEVAR, AAA repair, and bypass procedures
- Experience with EPIC EMR and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
