First assist in complex cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella). Contract | Days | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Primarily weekdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM | On-call responsibilities per unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with chest exposure and closing during cardiac surgical procedures
• Independently perform vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures
• First assist in complex cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
• Support heart transplant procedures as needed
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
• Active New York State (NYS) RN License
• CNOR Certification required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry competency

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience first assisting in DaVinci robotic surgical cases
• Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases
• Experience with heart transplant procedures
