Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Behavioral Health / Psych RN experience within the last year
• Experience working in an acute inpatient psychiatric or mental health setting
• Comfort caring for patients across the lifespan, including children, teens, adults, and seniors
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to complete paper documentation accurately and timely
• Availability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients experiencing behavioral health and mental health challenges
• Support patient stabilization, safety, and therapeutic treatment plans in an inpatient psych unit
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition or behavior
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver individualized, age-appropriate psychiatric care
• Complete accurate paper charting and maintain clear communication with the team
• Help foster a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff in a behavioral health setting
