Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience
• Comfortable working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to float to any unit as needed in a behavioral health environment
• Experience with de-escalation techniques preferred
• CPI or Handle With Care training preferred
• Experience documenting in EHR systems; WellSky experience preferred
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication systems preferred
• Ability to work night shift consistently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients with a focus on safety, compassion, and therapeutic communication
• Support patients with varying acuity levels across adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatric units
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Use de-escalation skills to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
• Accurately document care, observations, and patient progress in the electronic health record
• Administer medications and manage medication workflows using facility systems
• Adapt quickly to unit needs and float as assigned
• Work every other weekend and complete scheduled 36-hour workweeks
