Description:
This position offers guaranteed hours and is for an RN specializing in behavioral health.
Candidates will be required to cover shifts, including weekends.
The unit focuses on patients with varied acuity levels, including adolescents and adults.
Patient ratios will vary based on unit assignments.
Responsibilities include assessing patients' mental health status, recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral issues.
Nurses will develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Medication management, including administering psychiatric medications and monitoring for side effects, is essential.
Crisis intervention skills are required to provide immediate support to patients in crisis.
Therapeutic communication to build trust and rapport with patients is a key component of the role.
