Description:
Float pool nurses should have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in various settings.
They will work on multiple inpatient units providing care to children, adolescents, and adults.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
Delegation and leadership abilities are essential for this role.
RNs may be required to work as charge nurses during shifts without additional compensation.
Flexibility to float across different units and populations is required.
Candidates must comply with all screening and fingerprinting requirements prior to starting.
The facility has strict policies regarding substance use and will conduct drug screenings.
All candidates must pass drug screenings on the first attempt to continue onboarding.
RTO must be submitted with the initial profile, and any requests after submission must be coordinated with the facility.
Prior experience with charting systems, particularly Sunrise, is preferred.
Travelers are expected to float to any age population when scheduling requires.
Modules will be completed during orientation and annually.
Modules are recorded through the designated learning portal.
