Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed to be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancel and DNR.
Weekend schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Locals are accepted but may have a rate difference.
Target ratios are 1:7.
36-48 hours can be offered, with 13-week contracts available.
Floating may be required to task in med-surg units when needed.
Patient diagnoses include adults and geriatrics with various mental health diagnoses.
The behavioral health unit is divided between two floors.
Team members rotate between the two floors and are expected to work in every area of acuity.
Psych techs check vital signs and perform other duties related to patient monitoring.
Lead psych techs assist with de-escalation efforts.
A nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, or house supervisor is present onsite.
Virtual clinical nursing support is available 24/7.
Therapy teams conduct group sessions seven days per week.
Units utilize ObservSmart for patient monitoring.
Personal panic alarms and public safety measures are employed throughout the building.
All staff members are required to use specified documentation and communication systems.
Working within the unit involves addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
Effective medication management protocols, including antipsychotics and mood stabilizers, will be essential in this role.
