TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year PCU experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required, BSN preferred Must-Have: Ventilation and telemetry experience required, long-term vent, weaning, pulmonary rehab, trach management Description: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. RN/PCU ratios are 1:2-3 for all shifts. First-timers are accepted. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. No on-call requirement. Clinician will float within the scope to meet facility needs. Not open to accommodating block schedules. Local candidates are not accepted. RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days. Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the contractor personnel is assigned. Special requirements include passing an EKG exam. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are required. Experience with vents, IV starts, and telemetry is required. Additional skills required: phlebotomy, vent management alongside respiratory therapy, preferred ABG draw, trach management, port access, and central line management. Daily census is 9 patients with an adult patient age group. Unit details highlight interdisciplinary support and patient diagnoses include long-term vent, weaning, pulmonary rehab, and trachs. Mandatory skills include accessing/managing ports, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
