Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Step-Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Medical Step-Down Unit, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a 16-20 bed unit

Highlights:
  • Provide critical care for diverse patient populations including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, and COPD
  • Manage complex medical conditions including Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Substance Abuse disorders, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
  • Safe nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 ensuring quality patient care and clinical excellence
  • Work in a progressive step-down environment bridging ICU-level acuity with general medical care
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team approach to patient management
  • Opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills in high-acuity medical nursing
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in Georgia or compact state license
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Medical Step-Down or Progressive Care experience strongly preferred
