Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,426 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Leukemia & Hematology Unit – Ohio

Highlights:

• Specialized unit caring primarily for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in an adult and geriatric population
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (can be 1:5 based on census)
• Epic EMR charting system; GE telemetry monitoring system
• High-acuity medical unit with frequent blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• Strong interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Social Services
• 72 hours of orientation provided; float potential to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units
• Chemo certification NOT required for this position

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Current, consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care
• Feeding tube care and management experience
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete urgent fingerprinting process upon contract signing
