Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in telemetry, intermediate care, or step down nursing Ability to manage cardiac drips Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in intermediate care. The nurse will work night shifts of 12 hours. The unit will have a mix of medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. The nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on patient assignments. The nurse must be willing to take on medical/surgical overflow as required. The role involves essential nursing skills, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and central line care. The nurse will also need to manage IVs and administer oxygen and other necessary treatments. Experience with telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and wound care is beneficial. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
