Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs; weekend coverage variable based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Specialized acute leukemia and hematology unit with 24-bed capacity caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may reach 1:5)
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy
• No chemotherapy certification required for this position (ONS Chemo Cert preferred but not mandatory)
• 72-hour orientation period with one pre-approved time-off period available
• Extensive experience with blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Current acute care experience (active within the last 12 months) required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/PICC line management
• Epic charting system experience required
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Must be able to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon contract signing
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
