Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS and NIH required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a stepdown or PCU setting - Ability to work every other weekend - Capable of floating as needed Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in IMC. The nurse will work night shifts, 3 times a week, from 18:45 to 07:15. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. The nurse will float as necessary to meet facility needs. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The required certifications are BLS and NIH, with ACLS preferred. The nurse must be able to take care of patients with tracheostomies and on ventilators. The unit is fast-paced with a high volume of patient throughput. Nurses typically have a patient ratio of 1:4. The patient demographic mainly consists of adults. This unit manages patients with various diagnoses and conditions. Interdisciplinary support is available within the unit for comprehensive patient care. The role includes managing IVs, cardiac drips, and various patient treatments. The department relies on teamwork and flexibility among staff to ensure quality care. Nurses must be knowledgeable in patient communication, education, and care practices. Ongoing professional development is encouraged through annual modules and training. Candidates must be prepared to work during major holidays as required.
