TB documentation. Description: This position involves caring for patients in a surgical stepdown unit. The unit cares for post-operative patients including bariatric and urologic surgeries and procedures. Nurses will also manage patients with infectious processes that require surgical intervention. Conditions treated may include osteomyelitis and gastrointestinal diseases. The staffing ratio is 1:6, ensuring focused and attentive patient care. Nurses are expected to be flexible and may float to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors as needed.
