Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Surgical Stepdown Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of progressive care/step down experience required License: KS or Multistate license. No hits allowed, no exceptions. Certifications: AHA BLS required at time of submission. Must-Have: Immunity status of Hep B, MMR, and Varicella (obtained by a titer) or proof of vaccination series completion. TDaP vaccine, Influenza vaccine, or exemption request during flu season. TB documentation. Description: This position involves caring for patients in a surgical stepdown unit. The unit cares for post-operative patients including bariatric and urologic surgeries and procedures. Nurses will also manage patients with infectious processes that require surgical intervention. Conditions treated may include osteomyelitis and gastrointestinal diseases. The staffing ratio is 1:6, ensuring focused and attentive patient care. Nurses are expected to be flexible and may float to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors as needed. Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate for a professional setting. Facial and ear piercings are acceptable, provided they do not interfere with job duties and maintain a professional appearance.
