Schedule: Variable shifts with weekend coverage required; patient ratios 3-4:1 for Progressive Care and 4-5:1 for Med/Surg Telemetry; 24 hours of orientation provided; may float to other units as needed

Highlights:

• Work in a Surgical Step-Down/Progressive Care environment with bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, post-surgical overflow, and general medicine patients
• Manage telemetry patients with both on-unit and remote monitoring capabilities
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a progressive care setting
• Must successfully pass telemetry test upon hire

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Core nursing skills: IV starts, peripheral and central line care/management, PICC line management, blood product administration, medication administration, phlebotomy, patient education
• Advanced skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, PCA management, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required: at least one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference
