Must-Have:
Work settings include MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown.
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response expertise.
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
Experience with telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote.
Experience with rapid response teams.
Knowledge of post-cardiac procedures.
Ability to manage IV insulin protocols.
Experience with feeding tube care and management.
Knowledge of pre/post hemodialysis management.
Proficiency with IV therapy and phlebotomy techniques.
Ability to administer medications including heparin protocols and PCA.
Experience with procedural sedation administration.
Knowledge of total joint replacements and nerve block catheters.
Proficiency in wound care and isolation precautions.
Description:
This role involves providing care in the Post Critical Unit.
You will manage a patient ratio of 1:5.
Regular floating between departments may be required.
Responsibilities include cardiac telemetry monitoring and emergency response.
You will work with a variety of patient diagnoses and special procedures.
The nursing team is supported by interdisciplinary services including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
Compliance with unit protocols and nursing standards is expected.
Caring for adult and geriatric patients is a key focus.
Effective communication with the healthcare team is essential for patient safety and optimal care.
This position may involve weekend shifts and holiday assignments as needed.
