The unit provides care for patients with a variety of brain or nervous system disorders, such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and post-surgical care.

License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of submission; pending licensure is acceptable. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Experience with telemetry. Management of telemetry and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. Non-invasive airway management. Peripheral line care and management. Rapid response team activation. Management of dysrhythmias. Computerized documentation. Oxygen protocol experience. Experience with cardiac drips (such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other infusion medications). Isolation precautions and PPE. Staffing ratios: RN to patient ratio of 1:3-4, CNA to patient ratio of 1:6-13 during the day and 1:10-13 during the night. Description: The position is for an RN in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit provides care for patients with a variety of brain or nervous system disorders, such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and post-surgical care. Staff are trained in NIHSS, swallow screening, and spine immobilization. This unit prides itself on providing outstanding patient care.
