TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac Telemetry experience required Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias Peripheral line care and management PICC line management Ability to titrate drips Experience with PCU ratios - 1:5 Floating required as needed Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. No call duty is necessary. All travelers may be required to float between different campuses as needed. Experience in cardiac telemetry is essential. Nurses must manage and interpret dysrhythmias effectively. Peripheral line care and management, as well as PICC line management, are required skills. The position requires the ability to titrate drips. Nurses must be comfortable with PCU ratios of 1:5. Floating to different units may be required as necessary. The unit has a daily census of approximately 30 patients. Nurses will care for adults with various diagnoses including strokes, renal disorders, and endocrine disorders. The unit provides telemetry-monitored beds and cardiac surveillance. A centralized cardiac monitoring department provides continuous monitoring services for patients. Special procedures will involve managing various patient care needs, including long-term care for critically ill patients. Nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. All registered nurses must pass a compliance EKG exam. Nurses should be prepared to complete modules during orientation.
