Description:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH PCU RATIOS OF 1:5.
This is a high-level, high-functioning progressive care unit with multiple long-term patients.
Shifts are three 12-hour days, 07:00 to 19:30.
Weekend rotation and holiday rotation are required.
No call is required.
All travelers may be floated between all campuses as needed.
First-time travelers are welcome.
ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
Candidates must have experience with cardiac telemetry.
Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias are necessary.
Candidates must be able to manage peripheral lines, including PICC line management.
Experience in titrating drips is required.
Floating to other campuses may be necessary.
The unit provides a centralized cardiac monitoring department for patient surveillance.
The patient population primarily consists of those with strokes, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and hematological disorders.
Special procedures are performed in this 34-bed general medical progressive care unit with all telemetry monitored beds.
Candidates must pass a compliance EKG exam.
