Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 23 step down, 16 medical surgical.
Staffing: Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians.
Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians.
Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 for step down and 1:4-6 for medical surgical.
Type of Equipment: Lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, tracheostomies.
Electronic Medical Record: Cerner.
Typical Procedures Performed:
Trach care.
Chest tube management.
Wound dressing changes.

Floating Areas:

Dress Code:
Scrub color/attire: Navy blue.
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
