Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit.
The unit has 44 beds and a total of 95 staff.
The staffing grid includes 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC for both day and night shifts.
Patient ratios are 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched.
Equipment used in the unit includes IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts.
The EMR system utilized is Cerner.
Key skill sets needed include Neuro and Trauma Care experience.
Typical procedures performed include neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube and PCA pump management, IV infusions, lumbar drain placement, and blood transfusions.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused and a team player.
Floating may be required to stepdown units and med-surg units.
The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
This position requires every other weekend availability.
