Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first timers accepted License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to manage cardiac drips (titration required) - Telemetry experience - Experience with mixed patient populations (adolescents to geriatrics) Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a progressive care unit focusing on neuro/stroke patients. This unit cares for patients with respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical needs. Nurses will be responsible for assignments with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. The ideal candidate will possess experience in continuous telemetry monitoring. Candidates must have knowledge of titrating cardiac drips and managing various medical conditions. Attendance on major holidays is expected, with specific guidelines on holiday coverage. Nurses may float within the facility as needed based on practice scope. Weekend shifts are required, typically every other weekend unless otherwise specified. All compliance and onboarding requirements must be met to ensure a timely start in the position. Full compliance is required to begin working; any delays in compliance may result in pushback of contract start.
