Description:
We are seeking an RN for the PCU specializing in Cardiac Telemetry.
This position involves caring for general medical patients requiring continuous monitoring of cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic status.
Patients may include those with NSTEMI or status post STEMI, cardiac interventional procedures, electrophysiology procedures, thoracic surgery, heart failure, and post-stroke care.
Responsibilities include supporting general, vascular, or immediate thoracic surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac and respiratory support.
The RN will be responsible for pharmacological titration of cardiac anti-arrhythmic drips and post-operative care for open heart patients.
Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the interventions required.
Support staff includes CNAs and charge nurses to assist with patient care.
Telemetry monitoring is continuous, and the RN must interpret rhythms accurately.
The work environment encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Candidates must be proficient in using electronic medical records and familiar with IV pumps and various monitoring equipment.
