Description:
Seeking an experienced RN in the Progressive Care Unit.
Join a community-based hospital in an urban area.
The facility supports training for interns, residents, APPs, and nursing students.
Accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology.
Designated as a Primary Stroke Center.
Unit consists of 4 beds with an average daily census of 4 patients.
Patient types include general medical patients requiring continuous monitoring of cardiac, respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status.
Common diagnoses include NSTEMI, status post STEMI, heart failure, and post-stroke conditions.
Provides care for surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac, respiratory, or hemodynamic support.
Patient ratios vary with RN to patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 depending on interventions.
CNA support is available.
Support includes a Rapid Response Team and 24/7 respiratory therapy.
Technology includes an electronic medical record system and advanced monitoring equipment.
The RN will be responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
