Job Opportunity - Registered Nurse, Acute Care Unit - Western North Carolina

Start Date: August 27, 2026

Location: Brevard, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts with weekend rotation, 3 Monday and Friday shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday rotation per staffing matrix. Team-based care model.

Highlights:
  • 30-bed acute care unit serving a range of acuity levels from medical-surgical to ICU patients
  • Patient ratios: Stepdown/ICU 2-4:1, Med-Surg 5-6:1 with PCT support
  • Team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary collaboration including physicians, nursing, case management, pharmacy, and rehabilitation services
  • EMR: Cerner platform with Pyxis medication management system
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment offering diverse clinical experience across multiple care levels
  • Sign-on or relocation bonus available for qualified candidates
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure
  • BLS certification required; ACLS must be completed prior to end of orientation
  • Minimum 1 year medical-surgical experience preferred
  • ICU or stepdown experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with IV starts, central venous lines, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
