Description

Job Title: Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted. Will need to float within scope to meet facility needs. Weekend rotation required, every other weekend. Description: This position is for a Stepdown Registered Nurse. The shift is three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Holiday rotation is part of the schedule. The patient nurse ratio is 1:4. The facility allows cancellation of one shift every two weeks. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates must have a South Carolina RN license or a pending application for it. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. Approval will depend on facility needs. Candidates must complete all compliance requirements before starting. This position requires knowledge of various patient care management tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and coordinating care. The work involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience in telemetry and cardiac care. Familiarity with electronic charting systems is preferred. Travelers will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
