Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidate must have 2 years of stepdown nursing experience. Candidate must hold a valid SC or Compact license prior to starting. Candidate must have ACLS and BLS certifications. Description: Position available for a Stepdown Registered Nurse. Shift available is 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Holiday rotation is required. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:4. Every other weekend is required. Floating within the unit and across similar units is expected. First time travelers are not accepted. All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application. The facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks. This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Candidates should possess skills in telemetry management and critical care handling. They must be familiar with accessing and managing various types of lines and tubes. Experience with specific patient diagnoses and advanced treatments is required. This role demands adaptability and quick decision-making in high-stress situations. Professionalism and teamwork are essential in this position. Candidates should be prepared for potential emergency response duties during hurricane season.
