Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Experience: 1-2 years of recent Progressive Care experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Strong neuro assessment and cardiac monitoring skills Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips Experience with Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin drips EPIC experience required Prior travel experience preferred Required ECG/telemetry competency Description: This position supports the Adult Inpatient Division. Travelers will be preassigned to a primary unit but will float based on staffing needs. Preassigned units may change during the assignment as census, acuity, and staffing needs evolve. Floating is expected across inpatient areas based on staffing needs, including PCU/Telemetry, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and other medical units. Travelers may be reassigned before or during a shift. Common diagnoses include stroke evaluation, chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, and sepsis. Travelers should be comfortable with CPAP, high-flow oxygen, telemetry monitoring, and ECGs. Scheduling is based on division staffing needs and requires flexibility. Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule is required. Holiday coverage is based on hospital need. The ideal candidate is an experienced, adaptable Progressive Care nurse. Candidates should be able to quickly integrate into different inpatient teams while providing safe, high-quality care. Epilepsy monitoring experience is a plus but not required.
