Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PreOperative team. This position involves providing quality care to patients in the PreOp setting, ensuring their comfort and safety before surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and evaluations of patients.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about the procedure and answering any questions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage preoperative conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the PreOp unit.
• Provide postoperative recovery support as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts, with a typical schedule of five 8-hour shifts each week. Shifts will rotate, with start times ranging between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Flexibility to stay past the end of the scheduled shift may be required to ensure all patient care tasks are completed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in a PreOp or perioperative nursing setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be preferred.
