Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum and GYN care.
The facility has a total of 101 licensed beds, with a dedicated area for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
The unit comprises 10 LDRP beds, 2 obstetric beds, and 2 triage beds.
Average patient census is around 7 patients per day, which allows for optimal patient care.
Patient-to-nurse ratios will follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: 1:2 for inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3-4 for couplets.
The unit has support staff available, including a scrub tech for assisting with delivery trays and cleaning.
Registered Nurses may take on charge nurse responsibilities.
Telemetry monitoring is done within patient rooms unless under general anesthesia.
The electronic medical record system used is Epic, and IV pumps and monitoring equipment are available on the unit.
Collaboration with a 24/7 OB MD and an anesthesia/CRNA team will be integral to the unit.
Travelers will be required to float within regional facilities as needed, within their scope of practice.
Weekend rotation will be expected every other weekend, with holiday expectations that travelers will work 75% of holidays.
Approved time off can be up to 6 days, excluding holidays.
