Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in San Leandro, California.

Specialty: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN
Shift: Nights| 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly Gross:$3,031/week

  • Taxable Rate: $31.50/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $47.25/hr
  • Lodging Stipend: $1,064/week
  • Meals & Incidentals: $644/week
  • Total Weekly Stipend: $1,708/week

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent RN experience
  • Active California RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM
  • Strong IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Experience with high-risk medication administration, including Magnesium, Oxytocin and Insulin
  • Urine point-of-care testing
  • Capillary blood glucose testing
  • I-STAT experience
  • Adult cardiac monitoring

Experience Preferred

Candidates should be comfortable with:

  • Labor & Delivery and postpartum care
  • Electronic fetal monitoring
  • Magnesium and Oxytocin administration
  • Maternal-newborn care and education
  • Newborn pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Newborn heel sticks and venipuncture
  • Newborn medication administration
  • Newborn IV administration and maintenance
  • Bili-blankets and phototherapy lights
  • Radiant warmers
  • Gynecologic patient teaching
  • Post-operative bladder training
  • IV starts and lab draws
  • Insulin administration
  • Point-of-care testing
  • Adult cardiac monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
  • 3+ years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • 3+ years of postpartum experience
  • 1+ year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
