    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – PACU

    Location

    Shreveport, LA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 15:00–23:00) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
    • Maintain a standard patient ratio of 1:2, with the ability to accommodate up to 1:4 during overflow situations for patients awaiting room assignments
    • Participate in an on-call rotation every 3rd weekend (7a–7p or 7p–7a), typically scheduled on a volunteer basis, including holiday call coverage
    • Respond to facility emergency events as assigned by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or serving on a relief team
    • Complete required facility orientation modules as scheduled (orientation held 5 days a week)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA-issued)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU specialty
    • First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
    • NURSYS report required with profile submission and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as indicated on driver's license) to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience managing overflow or high-acuity post-operative patients
    • Familiarity with emergency response protocols within a hospital setting
    • Strong communication skills for coordinating with surgical and floor teams regarding patient placement
