Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 4 x 10-hour rotating shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Expected 2 weekend call shifts (12-hour) per month | Expected 1 night call per week
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring clinical intervention
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a measurable, individualized plan of care consistent with nursing standards
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical findings and patient outcomes, modifying the care plan as needed
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Float within surgical services as required; document and implement timely interventions appropriate to patient needs using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- Current BLS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Current ACLS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Current PALS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior PACU or surgical services experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- BSN or MSN education, or national professional nursing certification
